Vision Statement
Our vision is to help build a thriving future to all children by supporting women who are mothers, caregivers, teen moms, and women who work with us from all ethnic and indigenous backgrounds. By being a trusted community resource, providing quality, inclusive early education and fostering lifelong learning, we strive to support families and nurture a brighter tomorrow for every child and family we serve.”
Objective and Goals for our program
Child Development – We recognize the importance of B.C. Early Learning Framework to ensure we are developing age-appropriate activities for all of our programs.
Holistic Approach – We adapt a holistic approach that focuses on the development of the whole child.
Emergent curriculum – We are an emergent curriculum-based program. We believe that children are most successful at learning when curriculum experiences account for their interests, strengths, needs, and lived realities. Educators committed to this philosophy use observations of children throughout their day as a tool for constructing curriculum content. Meaningful learning opportunities are then provided in support of key developmental skills relevant to a specific age group.
Engagement: We work collaboratively with all women and families of young children that we serve to identify their needs and take actions that better their lives.
Promote Nutrition– We collaborate to provide access to snacks for children. We believe in supporting overall well-being and development of children, and cost of food for children and their families in our community.
Foster Community – Build a network where young parents can connect, share experiences, and support one another.
